Son of Georges-Henri Corbeil and Juliette Paul of Montréal, Québec. Brother of André, Rénald, François, Paul-Émile, Jean, Léo, Lucien, Suzanne, Henriette, Pierrette, Madeline et Nicolle.
He left for Japan on 17 April 1951 and arrived in South Korea on 16 June. He was accidentally killed on 23 September 1951 in a minefield laid by his battalion.
His name was inscribed on the cenotaph of the Korean War Memorial in Meadowvale Cemetery, Brampton, Peel, Ontario, erected in 1997 to commemorate the 516 Canadians killed in action between 25 June 1950 and 27 July 1953, and on the Korean War Memorial in downtown Ottawa, Ontario. An identical monument can be found at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Pusan (South Korea).
