Jocelyn Jalbert has devoted more than 15 years to various organizations, offering his time and expertise to support and improve the lives of Veterans. He is a member of the DND Canada Veterans group, The Royal Canadian Legion and PAVER, the equine therapy assistance program for Veterans and first responders led by Équi-Sens. 

Jocelyn is a dedicated volunteer at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 190 Saint-Jérôme in the Laurentians, where he shares his military experience and donates his time to various endeavours, including Operation Red Nose Valcartier. He also donates his time to membership tasks, the Poppy Campaign and support for 4th Battalion of the Royal 22e Régiment (4 R22Er) at many events, tributes and ceremonies for the 12 fallen soldiers. He plays an important role in running The Royal Canadian Legion, functionally, organizationally and financially, and is constantly expanding the range of services to members. 

He joined the Équi-Sens organization and its equine therapy assistance program for Veterans and first responders (PAVER) in 2015, where he has served as an executive committee member and volunteer, helping Veterans in their equine therapy sessions and contributing to the site’s maintenance. He has helped fundraise during the Poppy Campaign and devotes much of his time to commemoration by preparing for and promoting Remembrance Day. 

He has also played a crucial role in supporting Veterans through Veterans DND Canada, offering mental and first-aid support in cooperation with local community organizations. In 2018, he became 3rd Vice-President of his branch (120) and has greatly contributed to the start-up of several health and wellness discussion groups and themes. He has provided countless services to our Veterans through community garden programs, pet therapy and isolation-breaking days. He has involved himself in service dog adoption and obedience training programs to improve the quality of life of Veterans in a family setting. Today, he continues to serve as a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 120.
