This stele, surrounded by two field guns, was erected by Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 19, in honour of the veterans of the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War.
The Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra – Thank You Canada Concerts
In the spring of 2025 we celebrate 80 Years of Liberation. The Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra will be coming to Canada to perform a series of concerts and events. This is a special Thank You Canada Concert and will be free of charge.

In 2019, the commemorative Boots traveled across the country to honor the soldiers who departed from Halifax to fight in Europe. This powerful symbol marked the ceremonies of the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
The crew of HMCS Donnacona and members of Montreal's naval family will gather at the base of the Old Port of Montreal's clock tower to mark the 80th commemoration of the Battle of the Atlantic on Sunday, May 4, at 11 a.m. The public is invited to participate in this commemorative event.
HMCS Jolliet will hold its annual Battle of the Atlantic commemoration ceremony. The Choristes du Nord, a vocal ensemble of 40-50 people, will participate in the event.
HMCS d'Iberville will hold its annual Battle of the Atlantic commemoration ceremony at the unit on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
HMCS Champlain will hold its annual Battle of the Atlantic commemoration ceremony with a gun salute on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Join us from April 2nd to 9th for our 3rd annual Vimy Week! This campaign raises awareness about the Battle of Vimy Ridge and Canada’s First World War history. It includes engaging social media content, our flagship educational program, and stay tuned for a very exciting announcement in partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC).
Le Sentier-The Trail invites all groups to join for an informal meeting starting at 10 AM, followed by the commemoration ceremony at 10:50 AM. This moment is an opportunity to come together and share memories in honor of those who made invaluable sacrifices for our freedom. The Monkland Service Center will be open from 10 AM to 2:30 PM for anyone wishing to mark this important day.
